Bahmni in hospital-scale use — Possible Health and MSF's endTB trial

Sources for real inpatient/hospital deployments of Bahmni in Nepal and multi-country humanitarian settings.

Possible Health’s Bayalpata Hospital in Nepal runs its inpatient department, operating theatre, emergency room, and outpatient department on Bahmni — a documented example of the platform handling real acute hospital workflows, not just ambulatory records. Separately, Médecins Sans Frontières, working with Partners In Health and Interactive Research and Development, selected Bahmni as the electronic medical record for the multi-country endTB drug-resistant tuberculosis trial, and MSF has published its own field evaluations of specific Bahmni deployments, including at Kabinda VIH Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

These are genuine hospital and multi-country humanitarian deployments. They are not evidence of Bahmni operating at the patient volume or acuity of a Canadian regional or tertiary hospital — that comparison is not established by these sources and shouldn’t be implied.
